Katie Scarlett is a natural born performer who believes the ephemeral quality of performance art to be magical and extraordinary, residing in a place out of time that is made from the fabric of humanity and dreams .

She began her life’s journey into the language of the body under the Royal Academy of Ballet syllabus earning honors under their evaluation structure.

Her vocabulary expanded upon arrival in San Francisco,CA where she began performing contemporary and dance theater. Once introduced into the world of the circus arts she fell in love with the intoxicating elements of danger and thrill inherent in flying and spinning through the air,  dancing with and eating fire and learning to sit on her head and stand on her hands.

From Katie’s perspective the world makes more sense and is much more beautiful when seen through the structure of the discipline of the speaking body. To her it is poetry, the language of the soul.She believes there is endless inspiration in art and an abundance to learn about ourselves, and the world we live in. She is inspired and committed to developing and evolving her unique artistic voice with which to speak into the world and believes that learning is a lifelong adventure .

When not upon the merry stage Katie is a fabulous instructor of dance and Pilates, an accomplished choreographer of movement of all kinds, a gifted costume designer  and an amateur poet…..
